Julie is MARRIED!

My beautiful sister got married at few weeks ago at the end of October. It was an all around gorgeous wedding and I was very excited to have been a part of it. Here’s a few pictures that I snapped throughout the day. Enjoy! Oh, and Ryan… welcome to the family! ūüėČ

Happy Friday, friends!

Courtnie <3

This is my best friend, Courtnie. Before she cared who I was, I tried really hard to be her friend. She finally came around, though, after being forced to live with me. I like her a lot. Last weekend she let me take a few photos of her and her sweet pup, Duke.

Hope + Zander

The spirit of giving thanks is upon us. This season, I am thankful for friends who have joyfully afforded me the opportunity to photograph them as I continue to learn the vast art of photography. I had such a blast taking pictures of Hope and Zander last Sunday afternoon. These kids are a laugh riot, and so much fun when they get along (*wink*). ¬†Endless thanks to Josh and Cindi for dragging their kids to the park and letting me snap some pictures of them. Definitely feeling blessed by the support of my community as I pursue this ‘hobby.’ Every session is a step forward.

To quote the wise words of Macklemore… “the greats weren’t great because at birth they could paint; the greats were great because they paint a lot.”

Enjoy the set, friends!

Meaghan + Keevan

It is absolutely true that the only way to improve a skill is to practice and I love when my friends are kind enough to allow me the opportunity to photograph them. ¬†Keevan is not one for having his picture taken, but was kind enough to provide a few smiles throughout the evening. ¬†Originally the plan was to have Daniel be my model for the night since I was itching to take some pictures, but Meaghan ended up getting off work early so we met up and had a grand ol’ time. Wouldn’t you know that some of the most fun and beautiful places can be founded within a few blocks of your home? ¬†Meaghan’s apartment is in the newly rebuilt tornado path where there is still lots of construction going on. After playing on a few of the rocks here, we made our way over to an abandoned hospital on the west side of town. We were able to have a good time and get a few pictures before being run off by a crazy lady down the street. I really do just love these two so much and am very thankful to be a part of their lives. ¬†Enjoy the set! ¬† xo – Kristen
